What is the Salary for BOB SO Recruitment 2026?
Pay depends on the officer grade. The Bank has printed these four scales of pay, covering all 206 posts.
- JMG/S-I (Technical Officer): 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920
- MMG/S-II (Manager, Product Manager, Technical Manager): 64820-2340/1-67160-2680/10-93960
- MMG/S-III (Senior Manager posts): 85920-2680/5-99320-2980/2-105280
- SMG/S-IV (Chief Manager): 102300-2980/4-114220-3360/2-120940
The first figure is the starting basic pay — ₹48,480 in JMG/S-I and ₹1,02,300 in SMG/S-IV.
Basic pay runs from ₹48,480 at the entry of JMG/S-I up to ₹1,20,940 at the top of SMG/S-IV, before allowances.
Salary follows the industry-level bipartite settlement and the Joint Note for bank officers, plus the Bank’s own allowances. Probation is 12 months, with a 3-year service bond — leaving early costs 3 months’ gross salary, capped at ₹2 lakh for JMG/S-I and ₹3 lakh above it.
What is the Selection Process for BOB SO Recruitment 2026?
The stages you may face:
- Application scrutiny — the Bank shortlists eligible candidates.
- Online test — only if the Bank decides to hold it.
- Psychometric test or another test the Bank chooses.
- Group discussion and/or personal interview.
- Document and identity verification at the interview.
- Pre-joining medical examination, at your own cost.
Online Test Pattern (If Conducted)
| Section | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Reasoning | 25 | 25 |
| English Language | 25 | 25 |
| Quantitative Aptitude | 25 | 25 |
| Professional Knowledge | 75 | 150 |
| All Four Sections | 150 | 225 |
The first three sections share a composite 75 minutes; Professional Knowledge gets another 75 minutes, so the paper runs 150 minutes. All sections except English Language are bilingual. Reasoning, English and Quantitative Aptitude are only qualifying — those marks do not count in the result. Negative marking is one-fourth (0.25) of the marks carried by that question — so 0.25 marks in Reasoning, English and Quantitative Aptitude, and 0.5 marks in the 2-mark Professional Knowledge questions. The interview cut-off is 60% for General and EWS and 55% for reserved categories; PwBD candidates who use a scribe get 20 minutes extra per hour, and so do candidates with locomotor disability or cerebral palsy affecting the writing hand and visually impaired candidates, in each case with at least 40% disability. You must tick the scribe and compensatory-time options in the online application form itself — the system will not grant extra time to anyone who has not registered for it, and later requests may not be entertained. Prepare with the exam syllabus and pattern guides.
