What Is the Salary for Bastar Fighter Constable 2026?
The notification does not state a pay level or pay scale for this post, and it gives no salary figure. It only says that the number of posts and the pay scale may change as per State Government and Police Headquarters instructions. We will not guess a number here. The full recruitment rules are said to be on the Dantewada Police website (link in Essential Links below), so check it regularly before you decide.
What Is the Selection Process for Bastar Fighter Constable 2026?
Selection runs in stages, and your final rank depends on the total of all of them, so the physical test alone will not decide it. Separate dates for each stage will be issued later, so keep checking the official websites.
| Stage | Detail |
|---|---|
| Document verification | First step |
| Physical measurement | Height and chest as per the standards above |
| Physical Efficiency Test | 100 marks: long jump, high jump, shot put, 100 m, 800 m (20 marks each) |
| Written exam | 50 marks, objective type |
| Interview | 20 marks (maximum) |
| Bonus marks | Up to 30 marks |
For the PET you get only one chance in each event, and you must take part in all five. To qualify, UR candidates need 60% of 100 marks, and SC/ST/OBC candidates need 50%. If you are unhappy with your evaluation, you can appeal to the selection committee, whose decision is final.
The written paper covers general knowledge, mental ability, analytical ability, local geography, culture, tradition, social values and arithmetic. Up to 15 times the advertised posts are called for it, and everyone with the same cut-off marks is included. Use the syllabus and preparation guides for practice.
| Bonus | Marks |
|---|---|
| Heavy motor vehicle driving licence | 5 |
| NCC “C” or NSS “C” certificate | 5 |
| Knowledge of the district’s local dialect | 20 |
These certificates must be held by the last date, so a local-dialect or driving licence advantage only counts if you already have the proof in hand. Twenty bonus marks for local dialect is a big edge for genuine Dantewada residents. The final merit list is made on the total of PET, written, interview and bonus marks.
