Reservation follows Government of India guidelines. If no suitable reserved-category candidate is found, the seat may be filled by a temporary engagement of 44 days, which can be extended by another 44 days.
What is the Eligibility for ESIC Surat Walk-in 2026?
Educational Qualification
The notification does not list a degree post by post. It says only that qualifications must be as per the latest National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines. Your degree certificates for MBBS and MD/MS/DNB are checked on the day.
You must hold an updated NMC or State Medical Council registration covering every post-MBBS qualification. If it is not updated yet, carry a copy of the “applied for” document. Without these, you may not be interviewed, or your result can be withheld till you submit the updated certificate before joining.
Retired or working Professors may also apply for the posts they are eligible for. If you work in a government, autonomous or statutory institution, you should preferably bring an NOC from your employer. If you do not have it yet, submit a copy of the “applied for NOC” with an undertaking.

Other allowances are added as per ESIC Headquarters Office Memorandum dated 08.12.2022, or any later order. Non-medical officers, if selected, get no Non-Practicing Allowance. Hostel or quarters are given only as far as possible and cannot be claimed as a right. If you take it, no HRA is paid.

What is the Security Deposit and Application Fee?
Every selected candidate pays a security deposit of Rs 20,000 for any of the four posts, by Demand Draft payable to “ESI Fund A/c No. 1” at Surat, on joining. It is refunded after the contract ends and a No Dues Certificate is given. It is forfeited if you resign within six months; unforeseen or unavoidable cases may get relaxation.
