What Is the Eligibility for IIIT Pune Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026?
All new entrants need a Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline and a first class in the preceding degree(s). If your university does not define first class, the Institute treats 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA as first class.

Age Limit
The notification sets no upper age limit. It says fresh appointment beyond 60 years is discouraged, except for faculty with an exceptionally brilliant career and ongoing or approved externally funded projects. Age is counted on the last date of the advertisement, and relaxation follows applicable Government of India norms.
