Desirable experience: establishment, finance and accounts, audit, RTI or stores work (Junior Superintendent); building construction, estimation and site supervision (Civil); electrical installation, LT/HT systems, DG sets and HVAC (Electrical). Work in Central or State Government bodies, central universities, IITs, NITs or IIITs is preferred.
Qualifications and experience are counted as on 28 November 2026. The degree must be from a recognised Board, University or Institute. Where a university gives no CGPA conversion or does not define First Class, 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA is treated as First Class. Only full-time experience counts, and a single stint under six months is not counted. The Institute decides what is “relevant” and that decision is final.
Meeting the minimum does not guarantee a call. The Shortlisting Committee may prefer higher qualifications or more experience, so list every extra qualification with proof. If you hold a graduate degree or a diploma, match it with the right post above.

The notification does not state an “age as on” date. Only the qualification date is given. PwBD relaxation needs 40% or more disability. Your age proof is the date of birth on your Class 10 or Birth Certificate only.

What is the Selection Process for IIIT Pune Recruitment 2026?
Your application is first screened by a Screening Committee against the minimum criteria. It may ask for more documents, giving you 3 working days. The provisional list goes on the website and you get 3 working days to raise a grievance by email. Admit cards then come on the portal or by email, ordinarily at least 21 days before the exam. The exam date is not announced yet.

All written tests are objective MCQs with 1/4 negative marking for each wrong answer. For Junior Superintendent, the Stage-I cut-off to reach the practical test is 50% for General, OBC and EWS and 45% for SC and ST. Final merit for Junior Superintendent is on Stage-I marks only, and the practical test must be qualified. For both Junior Engineer posts, final merit is Stage-I plus Stage-II (100 marks). Up to 8 times the number of posts may be shortlisted for Stage-II.
Ties go to higher Domain Knowledge marks, then more Government experience, then older age, then first name order. A waitlist panel may be kept for one year.
