There is no application fee at all — the notice prescribes none. Selection runs on your sports record, a ground proficiency test and your documents. Notice the zeros. Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Bridge, Body Building and Lawn Tennis carry no seat for women this time, and the 800 metre run, the 100 metre hurdles and Butterfly swimming carry no seat for men. If suitable candidates are not available in a game, the department reserves the right not to consider that game at all and to move those seats elsewhere. No UR, OBC, SC, ST or EWS split is published — the only splits are game-wise and Men/Women.
What is the Eligibility for Income Tax Sports Quota Recruitment 2026?
You must be a citizen of India and clear three separate gates — age, education and your sports record. Failing any one ends the application.

Only performances in recognised tournaments held between 1 January 2022 and 30 June 2026 count, and the tournament’s closing date must fall inside that window; anything outside it is not considered. You must be clear in all doping tests of WADA, NADA or another relevant authority, and must not have been disqualified or banned from a tournament by your federation for disciplinary action. Any ongoing doping or unfair-means investigation must be declared by you in the ANNEXURE-B format.
Certificates count only when issued by the authority the notice names for your level of competition, on the matching form. A certificate from anyone else, or one not signed personally by that named officer, means you will not be considered.

Anything handed over later is not taken into account, so your file must be complete the day you post it. If you are already employed, carry a No Objection Certificate from your employer. You need not come in person. Nothing here is optional: an application that is incomplete, unsigned, carries no photograph, has photocopies not properly attested, or is missing an annexure that applies to you is rejected with no correspondence.
One thing candidates get wrong: the Google Form does not replace the paper application, it is only an extra step for faster processing. If the two disagree, the physical application prevails, and your candidature depends only on correct submission of that physical form.
