IRCTC SCZ Recruitment 2026: Hospitality Monitor & Tourism Monitor Walk-in for 28 Posts

Good news for hotel management and tourism graduates! Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), South Central Zone, is holding walk-in interviews for 28 contract posts — 22 Hospitality Monitors and 6 Tourism Monitors. The monthly CTC is ₹30,000 for Hospitality Monitors and ₹30,000 or ₹35,000 for Tourism Monitors, plus train duty allowances. Selection is by personal interview, so you simply walk in with your filled form and papers. If you follow railway jobs, this one moves fast.

The Bhubaneswar walk-ins on 5 and 6 October 2026 are already over. Two chances are still ahead, both in Secunderabad: 8 October 2026 for Hospitality Monitors and 9 October 2026 for Tourism Monitors. That is very little time, so read the eligibility for your post, fill the form tonight and arrange your documents. This guide from GovtJobsAlert.in covers posts, eligibility, pay, the venue and every condition that matters.

What are the Key Highlights of IRCTC SCZ Hospitality & Tourism Monitor Walk-in 2026?

Tourism MonitorsSC 15%, ST 7.5%, OBC-NCL 27%, PwBD 4%, EWS 10%, Ex-Servicemen 10%6

Neither notification gives a category-wise seat count, so we have not invented one. The 4 OBC backlog seats are carried over from IRCTC’s earlier Hospitality Monitor notification dated 01.03.2026. Separately, 22 and 6 more candidates will be kept on a Reserve Panel. IRCTC also says the number of vacancies may increase or decrease depending on its requirement at the time of engagement.

What will you actually do? A Hospitality Monitor supervises food production, quality and service in mobile catering units such as Vande Bharat, Mail and Express trains, tourist trains and Bharat Gaurav trains, and in base and cluster kitchens. The job involves travelling on trains all over India, handling passenger complaints, checking pest control and pantry cleaning, and supervising the service provider’s staff. A Tourism Monitor mans the Bharat Gaurav rakes, supports tour package marketing and back-end work, handles air and rail ticketing for corporate and walk-in clients, and trains staff. If you enjoy being on the move and dealing with people, both roles suit you; if you want a desk job, think twice.

What is the Salary for IRCTC Hospitality & Tourism Monitor 2026?

ComponentHospitality MonitorsTourism Monitors
CTC per month (incl. statutory deductions)₹30,000₹30,000 or ₹35,000 (by qualification / experience)
Daily Allowance (on-duty on-board train)₹350 per day₹350 per day
Lodging Charges (night stay at outstation)₹240₹240
National Holiday Allowance (if worked)₹384 per holiday₹384 per holiday
Medical Insurance₹1,400 per month (up to 35 yrs); ₹2,000 per month (36–50 yrs)₹800 per month

The daily allowance is paid at 100% for more than 12 hours on board, 70% for 6 to 12 hours and 30% for less than 6 hours. Medical insurance is a reimbursement against valid documents. Hospitality Monitors travel on trains all over India, so these allowances add up for people who do long runs.

One honest point: ₹30,000 is the CTC including statutory deductions, so your take-home will be a little lower. Still, for a hotel management graduate under 28 with no experience, a railway PSU contract with insurance support and on-board allowances is a solid first line on the CV. For Tourism Monitors, the extra ₹5,000 in Tier B rewards a two-year PG qualification and two years of tour operation work, so carry papers for the tier you claim.
