Dermatology and Psychiatry appear in the notice with zero seats, so there is nothing to apply for there as of now. The Senior Residency tenure will not normally exceed three years, including time served in other government hospitals. If enough fresh candidates are not available, those who have already completed three years but are willing to serve again can appear. A separate list is made for them and it is used only after the list of fresh candidates is finished. Even then, total tenure cannot cross five years, counting service in other government hospitals.
A candidate who is already in service must bring a No Objection Certificate from the Head of Institution or employer, otherwise he or she will not be allowed to appear for the interview.

The proposed interview board has the DHA (MCD) as Chairperson, with the Medical Superintendent, Additional Medical Superintendent, CMO (Administration) of Hindu Rao Hospital, subject experts of the concerned department, and a member representing SC/ST/OBC. Appointment is subject to medical fitness and verification of educational qualification, caste, age and DMC registration certificate.
