MOIL prefers experience in handling or monitoring projects that improved production, productivity, efficiency, mechanisation, automation or digitalisation of a mine, plant or industrial unit, plus coordination with consultants, contractors and Government agencies. Experience in end-to-end project monitoring, such as milestone tracking, progress monitoring and solving bottlenecks, is desirable, and so is familiarity with project documents, contracts and management reports. All of this is a preference only and not mandatory.

Age relaxation is limited. All 7 posts are UR. SC, ST and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates applying against a UR post are considered on General merit and get no relaxation in upper age limit. The notification mentions relaxation “as per Government guidelines” for SC/ST/OBC, physically challenged (not less than 40% disability) and ex-servicemen, but no number of years is given. The pay is a fixed consolidated amount, not a pay-scale with grades. Along with it, selected candidates get the employer’s PF contribution, HRA (if company accommodation is not provided), gratuity and other benefits under the MOIL Fixed Term Employment Policy. Appointment is also subject to passing the pre-employment medical examination and getting a fitness certificate.
The first engagement is for up to three years. It can be extended by up to two years, but not more than twelve months at a time, depending on your performance and MOIL’s continued need.
