Educational Qualification
Graduate Apprentice (18 posts):
- B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Computer Science / IT from a recognized university
- Only regular mode degree holders are eligible (distance / correspondence not accepted)
Technician Apprentice (11 posts):
- Diploma in IT / Computer Science / Electronics & Telecom / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
- Only regular mode diploma holders are eligible
Important Conditions:
- Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training are NOT eligible
- Candidates with 1 year or more job experience are NOT eligible

- Graduate Apprentice: 21 – 27 years

This is an apprenticeship engagement (not regular employment) under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. The stipend structure is:

There is no written examination for this recruitment. Selection is based on:
- Shortlisting — Based on academic marks in qualifying examination (B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma). Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview
- Interview — Conducted at CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, Assam. Due weightage given to academic performance during selection. Candidates must bring original testimonials, mark sheets, certificates, and passport photograph to the interview.
