\* For posts marked with a star, the number of posts is indicative and may change as per the Institute’s needs. There is no ST or EWS seat in any post, and SC has only one seat (Technician SG-II). The Institute also keeps the right to increase or decrease posts in any category.

Here is a simple way to read these tables. If you are 12th pass with good typing speed, Junior Assistant is your post. ITI and diploma holders in Civil, Electrical or Electronics should look at Technician first, because it is a plain contract post. First Class B.E./B.Tech., MCA and B.Sc. holders fit Technical Assistant, but that post runs through the deputation route, so check the experience table below before paying the fee.

How to Apply for NIT Uttarakhand Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026?

The process differs by post: Posts 1-3 are deputation (including short-term contract) and Posts 4-5 are contract, and what goes inside your envelope changes with that. Every applicant applies online first and then posts a hard copy.

StepAction
1Decide your post and its mode: deputation (Superintendent, Technical Assistant, Technician SG-II) or contract (Technician, Junior Assistant)
2Open the Apply Online link in Essential Links and fill one separate form for each post you want
3Pay the fee online if you are not exempt, and write your name on the fee receipt
