Educational Qualification

Sports Achievement / Eligibility Norms
Your sports record is the heart of this recruitment. The norms become stricter as the pay level goes higher:
- Level 5 / 4: Represented the country in the Olympic Games, or at least a 3rd position in the World Cup, World Championships, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games or Youth Olympics (as applicable).
- Level 3 / 2: Represented India in the World Cup, World Championships, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games or Youth Olympics, OR at least a 3rd position in Commonwealth/Asian Championships, National Games or Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships.
- Level 1: Represented the country in Commonwealth/Asian Championships, SAF Games, World University Games, OR at least a 3rd position in Federation Cup or Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships.
All championships must be conducted under recognised International/National/State sports federations and recognised by the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB). Only sports performance on or after 01 April 2024 will be considered.
What is the Salary for RRC CR Sports Quota 2026?
The pay for these posts is fixed under the 7th Pay Commission pay matrix, based on the level of the post you are selected for. The higher your sports level, the higher your starting pay.

Document Verification & Sports Trial
All eligible candidates are called for Document Verification (DV) and Trial. During the trial, your game skill, physical fitness and the coach’s observations are assessed. Only the FIT candidates — those who score 25 or more out of 40 in the trial — move ahead. Each candidate is assessed out of 100 marks in three parts:
