You must not have completed one year of Junior Residency in any institution or hospital, regular or ad-hoc. Such candidates are treated as the fresh category. Fresh candidates are considered first.
Relaxed Criteria
If suitable candidates are not available under the normal scheme, the notice allows relaxation as per a Delhi H&FW circular dated 10.06.2011:
- The upper age limit becomes 40 years.

- Staying in the hostel is mandatory if it is available. Once a hostel is allotted, you cannot vacate it until your tenure ends, you resign, or your service is terminated.
