Two points save many applicants. First, candidates who registered for the Ph.D. before 11 July 2009 are exempt from NET/SLET/SET only if all five conditions hold: Ph.D. awarded in regular mode, thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners, an open viva voce, two research papers from the Ph.D. work (one in a refereed journal), and two papers presented at conferences backed by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or a similar agency — certified by the Registrar or Dean (Academic Affairs). Second, NET/SLET/SET is not needed for Master’s disciplines in which it is not conducted.
Each seat also lists desirable qualifications. These bring preference, not eligibility, so do not skip applying because you lack one.

Its header says the last date is 30 days from the advertisement in Employment News, while clause 25 fixes 3 November 2026 and adds that, if required, it will be extended as per the Employment News advertisement date. Your qualifications, experience and publications are all counted up to the closing date, so a paper accepted after that date will not help this application.
