The eligibility cut-off date for everyone is the closing date of the online application. The notification does not list category-wise relaxation years. It does say clearly that SC, ST, OBC (NCL), PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates applying against unreserved vacancies will not be eligible for any relaxation. Since 14 of the 16 seats are UR, this matters for most reserved-category applicants.
What is the Salary for TISS Non-Teaching Posts 2026?
| Pay Level (7th CPC) | Posts |
|---|---|
| Level 12 / Academic Level 12 | Deputy Registrar, Deputy Librarian |
| Level 10 / Academic Level 10 | Assistant Librarian, Assistant Registrar, Assistant Manager (Publications), System Analyst-cum-Programmer, Health Officer, Field Work Coordinator, Counsellor |
| Level 7 | Section Officer, Section Officer (Security) |
The notification gives only the pay level for each post. It does not print basic pay figures or allowances, so we have not added any. Group A covers nine posts, and both Section Officer posts are Group B.
Level 10 and Level 12 are senior pay levels for an institute, so expect strong competition. If you are claiming experience, collect proof of every year now, such as appointment letters and pay slips that show your pay level. Claimed experience is checked during document verification, and a shortfall found at any stage cancels the candidature.
What is the Selection Process for TISS Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026?
| Stage | Detail |
|---|---|
| Screening / Shortlisting | A duly constituted Screening Committee decides who is called |
| Written Test | Wherever applicable |
| Interview | Call letters by e-mail to shortlisted candidates only |
| Document Verification | Multi-stage, online or offline, including originals |
Selection is in order of merit. Fulfilment of the prescribed essential and/or desirable qualifications does not by itself entitle you to a call for the written test or interview. TISS can limit the number called and adopt its own shortlisting criteria if a post receives many applications. No exam pattern or syllabus is given, so prepare with your post’s core subject and current work experience in mind.
