The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB), Tamil Nadu has released Notification No. 02/2026 for the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) for Working Teachers – October 2026. It covers Paper I (primary level) and Paper II (middle level). This is a Tamil Nadu government eligibility test, not a job vacancy, and it is open only to teachers who are already working.

If you are a Tamil Nadu teacher appointed on or before 1 September 2025, this page is for you. The online application runs from 27 October to 19 November 2026, and the exam dates are tentative. Read the rules on the Service Certificate carefully, because a wrong format means rejection. Keep visiting GovtJobsAlert.in for every update on teaching jobs.

TNTET 2026 Essential Links

Working teachers in Tamil Nadu, do not wait for the last week. Check your qualification row, get your Service Certificate signed and countersigned, and submit before the portal closes on 19 November 2026. Canvassing in any form disqualifies you, and the Board can disqualify anyone found without the prescribed qualifications at any stage. A mobile phone or electronic gadget in the exam premises, even switched off, leads to cancellation of candidature. You alone are responsible for errors, not the internet cafe.
