The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has released Advertisement No. 83/2026 for 78 Technician Grade-II posts in two state power companies. These are permanent Group C jobs in the Level-04 pay scale of Rs 27,200 – Rs 86,100. The commission says these figures come from the employing departments and the total and category-wise numbers may go up or down under state reservation rules.
Notice the trade link here. An Electrician holder can aim at both Electrical posts, while an Electronics holder fits only the UJVNL Electrical post and a Fitter holder only the Mechanical post. What is the Eligibility for UKSSSC Technician Grade II 2026?
Educational Qualification and Experience
Every post needs High School (Class 10) with Science and Mathematics from a recognised board or equivalent, plus an ITI trade certificate and experience.

The experience certificate can come from any government, semi-government, limited, private limited, registered private company or registered firm. For both UJVNL posts, experience gained before you finished your trade does not count. You must hold every qualification by 25 November 2026.
Domicile and Other Conditions
You must meet at least one of these: registered at an employment exchange in Uttarakhand by the last date; holder of an Uttarakhand domicile/permanent residence certificate; or passed High School and Intermediate (or equivalent) from recognised institutions in Uttarakhand. Persons already in Uttarakhand state services need not register at an employment exchange, and ex-servicemen registered with a District Sainik Kalyan office are treated as registered. Some serving armed forces and government staff posted in Uttarakhand, and their families, are also covered.
You must be an Indian citizen, a Tibetan refugee who came before 1 January 1962, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from a listed country with an eligibility certificate.

Your name, father’s name and date of birth must match the High School certificate, because no other document is accepted for date of birth. No printout needs to be sent to the commission.
Check your experience certificate carefully: it must come from a government, semi-government, limited or registered company or firm, and for UJVNL posts the experience must come after your ITI. Keep a printout of the submitted form, since the commission asks you to attach it if you ever raise an objection about your candidature.

Admit cards will only be on the website; nothing is sent by post. The exam date is tentative, and any revised date will be announced on the commission’s website and in newspaper press notes, so check the site regularly. After the exam, the provisional answer key will be put on the website, and objections can be filed online within the given time at Rs 50 per question. Offline or late objections are not considered.

Government or public-sector staff must inform their employer before applying and produce the NOC at document verification if asked. An EWS certificate must be issued between 01 April 2026 and 25 November 2026 on 2025-26 income, and an OBC certificate is valid for three years from issue. Unfair means are dealt with under the Uttarakhand Competitive Examinations Act, 2023.
