Who Is Eligible for Chhattisgarh SAGES Recruitment 2026?

Two rules apply to almost everyone. First, you must be a native resident (mool niwasi) of Chhattisgarh with a certificate from the competent authority. Second, your education from Class 6 up to your highest qualification must be in English medium. Only Hindi and Sanskrit Lecturer and Teacher posts are exempt from the English-medium rule. Your qualification must be complete by 21 October 2026.

The English-medium rule is the one that trips most applicants. It covers every class from 6 onward, including your graduation, post-graduation and B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. If even one of those was done in Hindi medium, you do not meet the condition for an English-medium post, however good your marks are. Check your mark sheets for the medium of instruction before you start the form.

What Is the Salary for Chhattisgarh SAGES Lecturer and Teacher Posts 2026?

This is a fixed consolidated monthly honorarium, not a pay level.

PostMonthly Honorarium
Lecturer (all subjects), Head Master – Middle₹38,100
Head Master – Primary, Teacher (all subjects), PE Teacher, Computer Teacher₹35,400
Assistant Teacher, Lab Assistant₹25,300
Librarian₹22,400

The notification clearly says there is no DA, HRA, special pay, compensatory allowance or annual increment. What you see above is what you get each month.

There is no pension or death benefit, and the contract ends automatically when regular recruitment happens. Still, ₹35,400 or ₹38,100 for an English-medium teaching job in your own state is a strong start. The contract is for one year and is renewed on the basis of your yearly performance report. Either side can end it with three months’ notice or three months’ pay, so treat this as a solid first step, not a permanent post.
