- Senior Resident preference: candidates with 2 or more years’ experience in the concerned speciality from a Govt. hospital or health institution get preference.
- Senior Resident bar: you must not have completed 3+1 years of Senior Residency in any recognised institute, regular or ad-hoc.
- Foreign degree: an equivalent foreign degree is accepted only after passing the NBE screening test. Foreign Medical Graduates who did their internship outside India and passed the FMGE are judged by the date the FMGE result was declared, whatever the internship completion date.
- Internship date (Junior Resident): all other candidates must have completed internship on or after 29 October 2024. Those who finished before that date (except FMG candidates) will not be considered in any circumstances and need not apply.
- DMC registration: you need valid Delhi Medical Council (DMC) registration. Holders of a valid DMC acknowledgement receipt may sit the interview, but must hold valid registration at the time of joining, or the candidature or selection will be cancelled without any opportunity.

Only OBC candidates from Delhi are eligible. They must attach a caste certificate with a Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued by the competent authority of GNCT of Delhi in FY 2026-2027. An acknowledgement receipt for applying is not accepted. The notice states no minimum age.

Terms of the ad-hoc job
- The job is initially for 44 days or until the Centralized Recruitment Committee, MAMC, selects doctors, whichever is earlier.
- It can be extended in 44-day steps up to 3 years for Senior Residents and 1 year for Junior Residents, counted from the date of joining.
- When doctors selected by the Committee join, services of ad-hoc doctors end immediately, even before 44 days. Termination follows interview merit: the candidate with the lowest marks goes first.
- Join within 7 days of the offer letter, or the offer is cancelled automatically.
- Resignation needs 7 days’ notice, or salary for the short days must be deposited.
