What is the Eligibility for ESIC Pune Recruitment 2026?

The notice does not list degrees post by post. For the medical posts it only says “as per NMC guidelines”, so check the NMC norms for your cadre. For the Ayurvedic post, a PG qualification is preferred but not compulsory. Doctors must be registered with the NMC, MCI or Maharashtra Medical Council, as applicable, before joining. If you are a medical graduate or specialist, keep your registration certificate updated.
Important: a candidate who has already completed 3 years as Senior Resident under the Central Residency Scheme is not eligible for the Senior Resident (3 Years) post.

For Senior Resident, Medical Officer and Ayurvedic Physician the notice gives relaxation “as per prevailing norms of Government of India”, without naming years. It adds that reservation and age relaxation follow Central Government rules. Teaching faculty can be engaged only till 70 years of age.

The pay table lists one “Senior Resident” row, so the same figure is shown for both Senior Resident posts. The Part Time Ayurvedic Physician gets a consolidated ₹50,000 a month for 5 hours a day, 6 days a week, with no other allowance. Pay can be revised, and no arrears are payable for a retrospective revision.
Remember this is a contract job. There is no PF, pension, gratuity, medical allowance, seniority or promotion, and no claim for regularisation.

Senior Resident service in ESIC counts as bonded service in Maharashtra. The tenure is also worth a read twice. The introduction says it is one year, extendable to three, for Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Senior Resident (3 Years), and one year only for the other posts. The contract clause, however, says all posts are one year, extendable up to three. Confirm this at the desk.
