The list has 20 different roles, from Technical Assistant, Nurse (Male) and Junior Supervisor to Welder, EOT Crane Operator, Painter and Steward cum Cook. The consolidated pay runs from Rs 27,200 to Rs 45,700 a month, depending on the post and the year of service.

The PDF prints the PwBD seat for Sr. 4, 6 and 7 as a separate entry (OH, HH and MH), so use the stated totals and check the notification for how it is counted.
What is the Eligibility for GSL Recruitment 2026?
Every post needs the stated experience. Experience and the upper age limit are both counted as on 30 September 2026, and you must declare your complete experience in the online form. Experience gained as an Advance Trainee after apprenticeship also counts for these posts.
For the Technical Assistant posts the diploma is a must. Candidates with B.E./B.Tech but no diploma will not be considered. The notification also groups related branch names (Marine Engineering counts as Mechanical, for example), so check the grouping in the PDF if your branch name differs.

After all relaxations, the age on the cut-off date cannot be more than 56 years. The notification gives only an upper age limit for each post.
What is the Salary for GSL Recruitment 2026?
The pay is consolidated and rises each year of the contract. Statutory deductions such as PF, ESI and income tax are cut from it. You also get medical benefits, canteen, welfare facilities and a Group Personal Accident Insurance policy as per GSL rules. There is no pay protection and no transfer of service benefits from an earlier job.

What is the Selection Process for GSL Recruitment 2026?
The selection has three parts. First the written test, then document verification, then the Skill/Trade test. The written test may be a computer based test or a pen and paper test. It will normally have 25% General Aptitude and 75% subject or trade questions. The notification does not state the number of questions, the duration, the syllabus or the marking scheme.

You need at least 40% in both the written test and the skill test if you are General or EWS. The bar is 35% for SC, ST, PwBD and OBC where the post is reserved for that category. Keep scanned copies ready, preferably in JPG or PDF: photograph and signature (each below 450 KB, signature on white paper in black ink, not digital), SSC certificate as date of birth proof, marksheets, category certificates, experience certificates and Aadhar card.
