The notice also accepts a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate from a recognised university in these disciplines, under a Health Ministry notification dated 21 September 2023. A doctorate in Food Technology or Agricultural Science is valid when you fill the form.

Reserved-category age relaxation and benefits are for original residents of Gujarat in SC, ST, SEBC and EWS only. A reserved candidate applying against an unreserved post gets no relaxation. Ex-servicemen need at least six months of service with an ID card and discharge book. Those retiring within one year of the last date can also apply. The paper has 210 questions (90 in Part A, 120 in Part B) and you get 3 hours for both parts together. The question level matches the required educational qualification. A wrong answer costs one-fourth of the marks for that question. You must score at least 40% in Part A and 40% in Part B separately, in every category. Widows who have not remarried and recognised sports players (national or international, inter-university, or All India School Federation level) get 5% extra marks.
