Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) and 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from an institution or board situated within Himachal Pradesh. This “within Himachal Pradesh” condition does not apply to bonafide Himachalis. The written exam is set at the 10+2 standard.

Height is measured for all candidates. Chest is measured for male candidates only.

Physical Standard & Efficiency Test (PST & PET)
First, the HP Police Department checks your height (PST) and physical fitness (PET). The PET is qualifying, but height gives you up to 6 bonus marks in the final merit. The running and jump standards are:
