The experience bars for Rigger and Welder are strict. The Rigger must work independently with crawler and tyre-mounted cranes, read rigging plans and guide crane operators. The Welder must be skilled in TIG, ARC and gas or plasma cutting. Trainee apprenticeships must come from chemical plants or fertiliser industries (for Instrumentation, large-scale manufacturing also counts) and must show trade and contract registration number. The Junior Steno ad also says a 2-year diploma of the MOM/SP type must be full-time and recognised by a technical board.
If you are a fresher, the trainee posts are your doorway, but most of them need an apprenticeship certificate as well as the degree or diploma. Check that you have it before you spend time on the form.
Physical Standards for Trainee (Fireman)
The Fireman ad asks for minimum weight 50 kg and chest 80 cm normal, 86 cm expanded. SC/ST candidates from hilly areas get a 2.5 cm height concession. Vision must be 6/6 without glasses, and night blindness or colour blindness shall be a disqualification. A Heavy Motor Vehicle licence is preferred. The minimum height prints unclearly in the notice (a typo), so confirm it in the Fireman PDF before applying.
