Student Counsellor can be reached by any one of these routes. In every case the experience must be in counselling students at educational institutes:
- B.A./B.Sc. (Psychology) with a Diploma in Counselling and at least 3 years of experience.
- M.A./M.Sc. (Psychology) with at least 2 years of experience.
- MBBS with a Master’s/Diploma in Psychiatric Medicine and at least 1 year of experience.
Extra qualification in Mental Health or Counselling is desirable. For both JTO posts, a PG degree in the relevant field with 55% marks and one year of work experience are only preferable. For ECE, experience in computer networking, LAN/WAN and printers or routers gets preference. Experience in an institute like an IIT, NIT or IIIT is a distinct advantage for every post, and good English (English/Hindi for the first three posts) plus computer skills are a must.
For both T&P posts, the experience papers must be signed by the Competent Authority and uploaded with your application. This is compulsory.
