The notification gives no category-wise (UR, OBC, SC, ST) split of these seats. Also note that the Female tag is printed against only one district line for the Educator, Art & Craft and Housekeeper posts, so confirm with the DCPU office before applying elsewhere.
By district, Aizawl leads with 17, then Mamit 14, Khawzawl 13, Hnahthial 10, Saitual 9, Lawngtlai 8, Champhai 7, Lunglei 6, Kolasib 4, Siaha 4 and Serchhip 3. A district with more seats does not mean an easier selection, but it does mean more chances of a vacancy matching your qualification close to home. Two posts, Project Coordinator and Case Worker in the Child Helpline Unit, carry no annual increment. Every other post gets a 3% annual increment. The notification states a fixed monthly figure and mentions no other allowance.
For a fresher with a graduate or postgraduate degree, the roles paying Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 are the main draw. For candidates with Class VIII to XII or a nursing qualification, the roles paying Rs 7,944 to Rs 14,564 offer steady contract work close to home, and the 3% yearly increment helps a little each year the contract is extended. Remember that the term is one year at a time, so ask what the renewal process is when you attend the interview.

Read the Special Educator/Therapist row slowly, because it has three separate routes and each one needs a valid RCI CRR number. A degree or diploma without that registration number does not meet the requirement. For the Project Coordinator, Case Worker, Data Analyst (non-BCA), Storekeeper and House Mother or House Father posts, the 55% marks condition is part of the qualification, so check your marksheet before applying.
