What is the Selection Process for NLC Apprentice 2026?
NLC India Limited selects apprentices purely on academic merit. There is no written exam and no interview.
- Selection is based on the percentage of marks in your ITI / Diploma / Degree qualifying examination.
- Where CGPA is given, it is converted to a percentage as per the standard formula.
- If two candidates have the same marks, the candidate senior by date of birth is preferred.
- Shortlisted candidates are called for Certificate Verification before final engagement.
At the certificate verification stage, you must carry your original ITI / Diploma / Degree certificates, mark sheets, category certificate, and Aadhaar. Please remember that candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training elsewhere, or who already have one year or more of job experience, are not eligible, as this programme is meant only for freshers.

- Register with an active Apprentice Enrolment Number on the NAPS / NATS portal.
