For Finance posts, experience in coal mining, energy or government is only preferred. Mining and Survey posts prefer large opencast or coal sector experience. A Medical Officer with MD or specialisation is preferred. For Overman, the notice prints experience as 1/5 years without saying which grade each figure belongs to, so confirm this on the official notice.
Degrees must come from UGC or AICTE approved institutes, and the particular degree must itself be approved. Part-time, distance and correspondence courses do not count, although AMIE is allowed where applicable. If you hold a mining engineering degree, check the DGMS certificate first, because it is mandatory for the mining posts.

Relaxation for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Sports Person and Women follows the Odisha Government guidelines, but the notice gives no number of years. Ex-Servicemen with at least six months of continuous service can deduct that service from their age. Candidates with extra higher qualification and experience may also be considered. The scales are wide, so your actual pay depends on where you enter and how your career grows inside the company. An Overman’s scale starts far below a Manager’s. Besides basic pay, selected candidates get Dearness Allowance, conveyance expenses, House Rent Allowance or accommodation, medical facilities for self and dependent family, Gratuity, CMPF and CMPS as per company rules. Probation lasts at least one year, and you are absorbed in your grade after completing it successfully.
