What Should Shortlisted Candidates Carry for PGCIL DV & Interview?
The Round-2 notice gives no document checklist and no reporting instructions beyond the candidate login. The rules below come from the original advertisement (Advt. No. CC/03/2025):
- Log in to the POWERGRID candidate portal and note your own date, time and venue.
- Carry a printout of your submitted online application. The advertisement says it “is required at the time of Interview/Document Verification”.
- Bring the documents you uploaded with your application, in original, along with self-attested photocopies. The advertisement warns that otherwise “candidature shall be cancelled”.
- If a caste or category certificate is in a language other than Hindi or English, bring a certified translation in Hindi or English.
- Candidates disqualified in document verification “shall be rejected and will not be considered for further process in any Region/CC, during the validity of the score”.

What Conditions Apply Before You Accept a PGCIL Offer?
Clearing the interview is not the end of the checks. The original advertisement attaches these conditions to the engagement itself, and a candidate who reports for document verification should know them:
- The engagement is purely temporary and contractual: 24 months or till project completion, whichever is earlier, extendable yearly up to 05 years if work requires.
- You must register with the National Skills Registry (NSR) and get your identity, biometrics, qualification and previous employment verified in your NSR profile, at your own cost, before joining or within 03 months of joining, “failing which their engagement shall automatically be terminated”.
- You must submit a Police Verification Report regarding character and antecedents. If you cannot submit it at joining, you may join provisionally on a character certificate and attestation form, but the report is due within 3 months or the engagement is terminated.
- Contract personnel “will not be entitled to claim for any regular employment in POWERGRID”, and will not be eligible for any allowance or benefit other than those the advertisement lists.
- Candidature is liable to be rejected at any stage, or services terminated after joining, if any information you gave is not found in conformity with the eligibility criteria or is false or misleading.
