- UR/EWS candidates, and SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD candidates applying against unreserved posts, need a first class or minimum 60% marks in the minimum qualification.
- Reserved category candidates applying against reserved posts need at least 50% marks.
- Your diploma or degree must come from a BTE/AICTE-recognised institute, a Central/State Act university, a Parliament-Act institution or a deemed university. Sections A & B of the Institution of Engineers (India) are accepted as equal to a degree.
- If you have only a CGPA and your university has no formula, an undertaking signed by the university is needed, and 6 on a 10-point scale counts as 60%.
- If a specialisation is required, bring a university certificate that clearly names it.

Steel plants and rolling, forging or casting industries are preferred. Training (other than on-the-job), internship, teaching, academic, fellowship and PhD research time does not count as experience. An offer letter is not proof either; you need joining and relieving orders or an experience certificate.

RITES Assistant Manager Salary and Contract Terms
The pay is the same for all three posts; these are approximate figures at the minimum of the scale.

The basic pay will be revised as per the Central Government’s minimum wages notifications. The contract is for one year, extendable until the assignment ends, with mutual consent and good performance. Services can be terminated without notice or pay in lieu for poor performance, misconduct or if the client stops the work. Empanelment does not guarantee a job, and no TA/DA is paid.

The interview carries 30 marks for technical and professional skill and 10 for personality and communication. There is no minimum aggregate. You can give the interview in Hindi or English. Selected candidates must also be medically fit, and documents are checked against originals.

Upload your date-of-birth proof, all mark sheets, category certificate, ID proof, PAN card and experience proof in one PDF in date order. One application is allowed per vacancy and it cannot be changed later, but you may apply for several vacancies separately. Applications without successful fee payment are summarily rejected. Any wrong claim means the application is summarily rejected, and hiding facts can lead to forfeiture of candidature, or termination even after joining. EWS certificates must be valid for FY 2026-27 and OBC (NCL) ones under a year old on 20 November 2026; lacking one at joining, you count as UR. Government and PSU employees can join only after proper relieving.
