Category-wise, the 62 posts are divided as UR – 23, EWS – 09, OBC – 20 and SC – 10. Horizontal reservation for PwD, women, ex-servicemen, sportspersons and dependants of freedom fighters will be applied as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules.
SVPUAT Non Teaching Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification
- Farm Manager / T4: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, or in any branch of science / social science relevant to Agriculture, from a recognised University.
- Programme Assistant (Computer) / T4: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Application, or equivalent, from a recognised University.
- Programme Assistant (Lab Technician) / T4: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, or in any science / social science branch relevant to Agriculture.
- Assistant: A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University.
- Stenographer Grade-III: 12th class pass, plus a shorthand dictation test at 80 words per minute (transcription on computer).
- Driver / T1: Matriculation (10th) pass, plus a valid driving licence and a practical driving skill test. An ITI trade certificate is desirable.
Candidates with a computer or IT background are especially suited to the Programme Assistant (Computer) role.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
Age relaxation for reserved categories is given as per U.P. Government rules. Regular employees of the State of Uttar Pradesh get an additional 5 years of relaxation.
What is the Salary for SVPUAT Non Teaching Posts 2026?
The salary is quite attractive as it follows the 7th Pay Commission matrix. The higher posts (Farm Manager, Programme Assistant, Assistant) sit in Level 6, while Stenographer and Driver posts are in Level 4 and Level 3.
- Level 6 (Farm Manager, Programme Assistant, Assistant): ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400
- Level 4 (Stenographer Grade-III): ₹25,500 – ₹81,100
- Level 3 (Driver / T1): ₹21,700 – ₹69,100
In-hand salary will range from around ₹25,000 for Driver posts to over ₹40,000 for Level 6 posts, along with Dearness Allowance and other admissible benefits.
Please note that these are KVK posts, so pay and service benefits are as permitted by ICAR. The posts are temporary and continue as long as the ICAR-funded scheme continues.
What is the Selection Process for SVPUAT Recruitment 2026?
Selection is based on your academic record plus a written examination and skill test. Follow these stages:
- Academic Score Card — marks are calculated from your High School, Intermediate and Bachelor’s degree percentages (maximum 70 marks, including 5 marks for Sports/NCC/NSS).
- Written Examination — 115 questions for 230 marks over 2 hours: Subject Matter (50 questions, 100 marks), General Knowledge & Reasoning (40 questions, 80 marks) and Language (25 questions, 50 marks). Each correct answer gives 2 marks with a 0.50 negative mark for a wrong answer.
- Skill Test — Stenographer Grade-III candidates take a dictation and typing test on computer; Driver candidates take a driving skill test.
- Final Merit — selection is made on the grand total of 300 marks (70 academic + 230 written), and candidates are shortlisted for document verification accordingly.
