West Bengal has the most seats (86), followed by Uttar Pradesh (45), Odisha (41) and Rajasthan (37). Eight states and UTs carry only Unreserved seats. In six of them (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Pondicherry and Sikkim) the whole state has just one seat, and the table lists it with a PwBD (OC) seat inside it, so check the notification before choosing such a state. ST seats exist in only 10 states and UTs.
The merit list is made State-wise and category-wise, so you compete only with applicants who chose the same State and fall in your category. Before you pick a State, compare the seats for your own category in the table, and make sure you can read, write and speak that State’s local language. A big state with no seat in your category will not help you.
What Is the Eligibility for UCO Bank Apprentice 2026?
Every condition below is checked as on 1 October 2026. The notification asks only for a graduate degree and names no particular stream. See more graduate govt jobs if this one is not for you.

| Qualification | Graduate degree from a university or institute recognised by the Government of India or its regulators |
| Certificates | Mark sheets and provisional or final degree certificate must be issued on or after 1 April 2022 |
| Nationality | Citizen of India, subject of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan refugee who came before January 1962, or person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or listed East African countries and Vietnam to settle in India |

What Is the Stipend (Salary) for UCO Bank Apprentice 2026 Per Month?
| Component | Amount |
|---|---|
| Full monthly stipend | ₹16,650 (including any subsidy from the Government of India) |
| Paid by UCO Bank into your account | ₹10,500 per month |
| Government share, credited directly (DBT) | ₹6,150 per month (may change with Government guidelines) |
Apprentices get no other allowances or benefits. Daily training hours follow those of the Bank’s clerical staff. You are a trainee, not an employee, so the provisions of any labour law, such as PF, ESI and bonus, are not applicable to this apprenticeship, and the Bank owes you no regular job after the year ends. Transport and hostel are not provided either.
If the rates stay as they are, the stipend adds up to roughly ₹1,99,800 over twelve months. That is a decent amount for a year of banking training, but remember that the Bank makes no promise of a job afterwards.
What Is the Selection Process for UCO Bank Apprentice 2026?
| Stage | Detail |
|---|---|
| 1. NATS | Register on NATS and apply for the UCO Bank apprenticeship |
| 2. Online test | Objective test by BFSI SSC on 7 November 2026 at 11 am |
| 3. Merit list | State-wise and category-wise, by marks in descending order |
| 4. Document verification | Originals checked, plus the local language test |
| 5. Medical fitness | Engagement depends on being declared medically fit |
The test is 100 marks in 60 minutes, in English or Hindi. Prepare with our preparation strategy tips.
The qualifying marks are only a floor. Since the merit list ranks everyone by marks within their State and category, a higher score is what actually gets you a seat.
| Section | Questions / Marks |
|---|---|
| General/Financial Awareness | 25 / 25 |
| General English | 25 / 25 |
| Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude | 25 / 25 |
| Quantitative Aptitude | 25 / 25 |
| All four sections | 100 / 100 |
| Category | Minimum Qualifying Marks (out of 100) |
|---|---|
| General / EWS | 40 |
| SC, ST, OBC and PwBD | 35 |
If two candidates score the same, the older candidate ranks higher. The Bank may declare a wait list at its discretion. The notification gives no syllabus beyond the four section names and says nothing about negative marking, so look out for the Information Handout BFSI SSC will email. The Bank has also reserved the right to change any criterion or the selection method.
You take the test from home on your own camera-enabled computer or phone. Keep the Aadhaar card you uploaded on NATS ready to show on camera, and sit alone, unless you are a PwBD candidate. The exam link and login details arrive by email the day before.
Which Rules Can Cancel Your UCO Bank Apprentice 2026 Application?
Most rejections come from small slips. Each line below is a rule from the notification.
| Condition | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| One State/UT only | The front page says two or more applications from one candidate will be rejected. A later note says only the last complete one counts. Submit just once |
| Exam registration | Failure to register for the written test means you are disqualified from further participation in the selection process |
| Matching details | Details given to BFSI SSC must match NATS, and any change may disqualify you |
| Name spelling | Must match your certificates, mark sheets and ID. A mismatch may disqualify you |
| Incomplete form or failed payment | An application or registration that is incomplete in any respect, or has an unsuccessful fee payment, will not be considered as valid |
| No edits | No change after SUBMIT, and no change of contact number, address, email or test centre |
| Fee | Non-refundable, even if you skip the test or are not shortlisted. An application cannot be withdrawn |
| False information | Candidature is cancelled. If shortcomings are detected even after engagement, training is liable to be terminated without notice, with possible prosecution or civil action |
| Unfair means or impersonation | You can be disqualified from the examination, debarred either permanently or for a specified period from any examination or recruitment conducted by the Bank, terminated from training, and prosecuted |
| Shared answers | The test agency compares answer patterns. If responses are found shared, the Bank may cancel the candidature of the concerned candidates, and their result (disqualified) will be withheld |
| Canvassing | Canvassing in any form is a disqualification |
| OBC creamy layer or caste not in the Central List | You are not entitled to OBC reservation and must apply as General. The OBC-NCL certificate must be issued on or after 1 April 2026 |
| Category and disability papers | EWS needs an Income and Asset certificate for FY 2025-26 valid for FY 2026-27. PwBD candidates need a disability certificate, and UDID checks or a fresh medical board are possible |
| Original documents | Education, age and category originals are needed at verification, failing which candidature is cancelled |
| After selection | Absent candidates must refund training cost and stipend. The contract ends automatically after the year, and apprentices cannot join or form a union. Labour-law provisions (PF, ESI, bonus) shall not apply to apprentices |
| Bank’s rights | The Bank may reject any application without a reason, and seats may stay unfilled |
| Costs and messages | Document verification is at your own risk and expense, with no travel reimbursement. The Bank shall not be responsible if intimations do not reach you after a change of email or mobile number |
How to Apply Online for UCO Bank Apprentice 2026?
This is a two-portal process. Your NATS registration comes first, and the Bank accepts no other mode of application.

| 1 | Register on the NATS portal using the registration link in Essential Links, under Student Register/Login |
| 2 | After login, open the UCO Bank apprenticeship advertisement and apply. Note your Enrolment Id, as you need it for all later correspondence |
| 3 | Wait for the email from BFSI SSC (info@bfsissc.com) asking for your caste category, choice of districts and other details |
