The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026 notification (Examination Notice No. 10/2026-NDA-II) on 20 May 2026. A total of 394 vacancies were notified across the Army (208), Navy (42), Air Force (120) and the Indian Naval Academy 10+2 Cadet Entry (24), for admission to the 158th NDA Course and 120th INAC, commencing 1 July 2027.

What is the Eligibility for UPSC NDA (II) 2026?

Candidates appearing in 12th Class could also apply, but they must submit proof of passing by 10 June 2027, failing which their candidature will be cancelled. No extension of this date will be given on any ground. Candidates appearing in the 11th class exam are not eligible.

Candidates must be physically and medically fit as per the guidelines in Appendix-III of the official notification. Candidates who opt for the Flying Branch of the Air Force must separately qualify the CPSS.
What is the Salary for UPSC NDA (II) 2026 Cadets and Officers?
Cadets receive a fixed stipend of Rs 56,100 per month for the entire duration of training in the Service academies. On commissioning, pay is fixed in the first cell of Level 10, and the training period is not counted as commissioned service.

What is the Selection Process After the UPSC NDA (II) 2026 Result?
Selection has two stages: the UPSC written examination (now over, result declared), followed by the SSB Test/Interview.
