The notice states two reckoning dates at once. Each age clause is headed “as on 01.10.2026” but also says “as on date of interview”. If you are near the limit, check your age on both dates. The relaxation line appears only in the Junior Resident clause and gives no category-wise years. Faculty tenure ends at 70 (68 per Note b). The Junior Resident internship must be complete on or before the interview date.

The amounts are approximate “as on date” and include other allowances such as DA, NPA, TA and HRA. Retired employees and pensioners who are engaged may draw the total pay without deduction and keep their pension, because this is not re-employment under the 1986 Orders. As it is a contract job, there is no PF, pension, gratuity, medical allowance, seniority or promotion.

The notice gives no marks or duration for the test.
The result and waiting list appear on the official ESIC website, and the offer of appointment goes by e-mail only. If a selected candidate does not join in time, the waitlisted candidate gets the offer.

Tenure of the Contract
The notice gives clashing tenure lines, and we state each as printed. Teaching faculty and Senior Resident are engaged for 1 year, extendable up to 3 years on satisfactory performance, or until regular incumbents join. For Junior Resident, the opening paragraph says 1 year only, but Note (b) says 1 year extendable to 3 years for all posts. Note (b) also says tenure ends at 68 years of age, while Note (a) and the age clause say 70 years, with a 69-year age limit. Ask the Dean’s office in person if your age is close.
