What is the Eligibility for LAHDC KSSRB Recruitment 2026?
Domicile
You must be a resident of Kargil district, read as the erstwhile district Kargil as it stood before Notification S.O.180 dated 27-04-2026. You must hold a Domicile Certificate in the Annexure-V format, issued by the competent authority under the Ladakh domicile rules of 2025 and S.O 76 dated 27-06-2025.
Educational Qualification
Qualifications are counted as on 27 November 2026. The notice allows equivalence only where it says so. If you hold a 10th pass certificate, a 12th pass result or a graduate degree, match it to the row below.

Candidates whose final result is still awaited on 27 November 2026 are NOT eligible and should not apply. Degrees by distance mode count only if recognised for the relevant period, and you must produce the approval at document verification.
Age Limit
The age limit is 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2026, so you must be born not earlier than 01-01-1986 and not later than 01-01-2008. Relaxation applies only against seats reserved for that category.

What is the Selection Process for LAHDC KSSRB Recruitment 2026?
Selection is on merit in the written exam and the post preference you give, and the Board asks for that preference through its portal after the written exam or at document verification. Tentative answer keys are placed on the Board website after the exam, and objections are accepted online only, at Rs 100 per question. A score below 20% means you are not considered for document verification. For Graduate level papers, Part C is at 10th standard level. A tie is broken by older age, then higher percentage in the basic qualification, then higher qualification, then alphabetical order of name. Admit cards are tentatively available one week before the exam and only for download from the Board website. They are not sent by post, and an admit card does not mean your candidature is accepted.
