What is the Eligibility for THSTI Recruitment 2026?
All qualifications must be from a recognised Board or University. Most posts need a post-graduate degree, but three posts are open to graduates too.

Some posts also list desirable skills. For the Senior Psychologist post, RCI registration and clinical research experience help. For the Occupational Therapist, HINE assessment experience for infants up to 2 years, paediatric work, COTPT registration and good Hindi and English are desirable. For Project Technical Support-III, the desirable list covers cell line culture and maintenance, working with mice models, molecular techniques like RNA isolation, RT-PCR, Western Blotting and ELISA, comfort with MS Excel and PowerPoint, and good writing skills. For Project Research Scientist-I, the notice lists under “Desirable” prior experience in developing, validating and qualifying biochemical assays for new molecules and known drugs, including troubleshooting, data compilation, report preparation, lab notebook record keeping and SOP writing. Bring proof of these if you have them.
Desirable points are not compulsory, so do not skip a walk-in just because you lack one of them. But when many candidates turn up, THSTI screens on higher or more relevant qualification and experience. A certificate that proves a desirable skill can be the thing that keeps you in the room.
Which post suits you? If you have only a graduation in Life Sciences, look at the Senior Technical Assistant post (with 2 years’ experience) or Project Technical Support-III (B.Sc. or B.Tech. with 3 years’ experience). Fresh M.Sc. holders in Life Sciences can aim for Senior Technical Assistant or Project Technical Support-III; Project Technician also takes post-graduates but asks for prior microbiology lab experience. Occupational Therapy graduates have their own post with no experience bar.
