What Is the Eligibility for Jangaon Children Home Recruitment 2026?

The qualification is fixed and will not be relaxed. You must hold it on the date of the notification, 12.10.2026. A higher qualification in the same subject is accepted in place of the degree prescribed.

PostQualification
CounsellorDegree in Psychology, Counselling, Public Health, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Food and Nutrition or Home Science, from a recognised University; or post graduate diploma in Counselling and Communication

If you hold a graduate degree in a listed subject, you can go for the first three posts. Attender and Sevika are open to women with no degree, but you must read and write Telugu well. Pick the post that matches your own qualification, because you may apply for one post only and the same-hour exams make a second try impossible. Women who have worked or are working in the Home may apply for any one post they qualify for, but they get no preference beyond what the notification states.

What Is the Selection Process for Jangaon Children Home Recruitment 2026?

Selection is a written examination followed, on the same day, by an oral test of 25 marks. The selection list is declared the same evening. Every question has five options and carries one mark. One fourth of a mark is deducted for every wrong answer, and nothing is deducted for an unanswered question. Answers go on an OMR sheet.

PostsPaperLanguage
Counsellor, Child Welfare Officer, Store Keeper cum Accountant200 questions, 90 minutes (Part A 100 common, Part B 100 on the post)English
Paramedical Staff (ANM)100 questions, 60 minutesEnglish and Telugu
Attender and Sevika50 questions, 45 minutes (common paper)Telugu and English

Part A covers general knowledge on Telangana and Jangaon (15), reasoning and arithmetic (15), the Constitution and child rights (10), the Juvenile Justice Act and Model Rules (30), POCSO and child protection laws (15), Mission Vatsalya (10) and basic computers (5). Part B follows each post’s work, such as counselling, case work, or book keeping and Tally. The full syllabus is in Annexure II of the PDF.

In the oral test you answer five questions from a question bank, each marked out of five. Candidates are called in order of marks, three for each vacancy. Ties are broken by higher written marks, then by older age. A waiting list is kept for one year. Orders of engagement go out the next day, 19 October, only to selected candidates whose Police report and medical fitness certificate have been received.

Treat Part A seriously. Its topics lean heavily on child protection law, so spend your last days on the Juvenile Justice Act, POCSO and Mission Vatsalya rather than on general knowledge alone, since those three carry 55 of the 100 Part A marks.
