For the veterinary post, the UR figure of 228 includes 13 PwBD-earmarked vacancies carried over from the previous advertisement that were set aside for PwBD candidates and are now allowed in UR (these 13 are shown as the second figure in the PwBD row: VH 3, HH 3, OH 3, MH 4). The SC, ST, EBC and BC figures include backlog seats: SC 114, ST 7, EBC 90 and BC 10. Under Advt 28 there is no women’s seat in the ST column (0), and WBC seats are reserved for women of backward classes only.
For Advt 27, there is also a 50% horizontal reservation in every category for graduates of veterinary colleges located in Bihar. Vacancies may still go up or down if revised requisitions reach the Commission.

Which advertisement is yours? It depends only on your degree. A B.V.Sc. holder applies under Advt 27, and a four-year fisheries graduate applies under Advt 28. The two posts have separate forms, separate seat tables and slightly different rules, so read the rows marked for your post.
Please note that for the veterinary post the Bihar Veterinary Council registration is compulsory, not optional. A degree alone is not enough. Both are graduate-level government jobs, and only Indian citizens may apply.

The veterinary notification prints the full pay range. The fishery notification mentions only Pay Level-7 and does not print a rupee range, so we have not added one.
Level-9 is a strong starting point for a fresh veterinary graduate, and the post sits in the basic cadre of the Bihar Veterinary Service, so it is a regular government career, not a contract job. For fisheries graduates, Level-7 in the Directorate of Fisheries is also a regular post. If you hold a B.F.Sc. and have been doing contract work on the same post, remember that your experience can add up to 25 marks to your score, which can change your rank.
