What is the Eligibility for NTPC Green Manager Recruitment 2026?
Educational Qualification
- Manager – RE: Full-time Graduate in Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a recognised University or Institution in India. Eligible branches are Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Control & Instrumentation, Civil and Mechanical.
- Manager – Finance: CA or CMA (previously ICWA) qualified from an institute recognised by the appropriate statutory authority in India.
- Manager – Land: Full-time PG Degree, PG Diploma or PG Programme in Rural Management, Rural Development, Displacement, Resettlement, Rehabilitation, Community Development, Local Governance, Local Development, Livelihoods, Social Entrepreneurship, Social Development, Social Administration, Sustainable Development, Development Policy & Practice or Development Studies; or MSW, MBA, or a Graduate in Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

Experience Required
All three posts need a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification executive experience, computed as on 31 August 2026.
- Manager – RE: 10 years in the Power Sector, of which at least 4 years must be with a Renewable Energy developer having 50 MW or more of grid-connected Solar, Wind or BESS projects, in Business Development, Engineering, Contracts & Procurement, Commercial, Project Management, Corporate Planning or Strategy.
- Manager – Finance: 10 years in Finance or Accounts (excluding articleship). Knowledge of SAP, MS Office and Data Analytics is preferred, as is experience with an RE developer.
- Manager – Land: 10 years in land acquisition, land aggregation or land management, of which at least 4 years must be for Renewable Energy developers with 50 MW or more of grid-connected projects.
Candidates already serving in a Government organisation or PSU must additionally have at least 2 years in the ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 scale (E-3 grade or above) within those 10 years.
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 40 years for all three posts, computed with reference to 31 August 2026. No separate minimum age is prescribed — the 10-year experience requirement acts as the effective floor. The age of superannuation at NGEL is 60 years.

What is the Salary for NTPC Green Manager E-4 Grade 2026?
All three posts are advertised in the same executive grade, so the pay scale is identical.

What is the Selection Process for NGEL Manager Recruitment 2026?
The notification keeps the selection method deliberately flexible. In its own words, management reserves the right to conduct a multistage selection process which may comprise application shortlisting or screening, Written Test, Group Discussion, Interview, or a combination of these — and may even raise the minimum eligibility standards to restrict numbers.
Stage 1: Application Shortlisting
Screening is done on the basis of qualification, percentage of marks and number of years of experience. Applications with incomplete, insufficient or illegible documents are rejected outright, so upload clean scans.
