Each question carries 1 mark. The notice clearly says there is no negative marking. But be careful: BSEB will publish the result using normalisation, and the notice warns that giving many wrong answers can pull your normalised score down. It even gives an example. How to Apply Online for Bihar School Librarian Eligibility Test 2026?
You can apply only online on the SLET registration portal. Forms sent by post or any other way will not be accepted. Follow these steps:
- Visit the official application portal (link in Essential Links below) between 1 October (afternoon) and 21 October 2026.
- Register: fill in your basic details, click Generate OTP and enter the OTP. Your User ID and Password come by SMS.
- Log in and fill in your personal and education details. Upload a recent colour photo (80 to 200 KB, 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, white or light background, no cap or dark glasses) and your signature (50 to 200 KB).
- Upload self-attested copies of your certificates, then click Preview and check every entry. Use Save to correct mistakes.
- Pay the fee online through the payment gateway, then submit the form.
- Download a hard copy of the submitted form and keep it safe, along with your User ID and Password.
Keep your 10th certificate (for date of birth), 12th and graduation certificates and marksheets, Library Science certificate and residence certificate ready. Caste, non-creamy-layer, Divyang and ex-servicemen certificates are needed only if you claim that benefit. Married women claiming reservation must have certificates issued as per the Bihar General Administration Department rules.
