GSECL Vidyut Sahayak Salary & Benefits (2025)

Selected candidates will be appointed as Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant) for an initial period of three years with the following fixed remuneration:

  • 1st Year: ₹ 22,750/- per month
  • 2nd Year: ₹ 24,700/- per month
  • 3rd Year: ₹ 26,650/- per month

No other allowances or benefits are admissible during this period, except for TA/DA reimbursement as per rules. After successful completion of the three-year term, candidates may be considered for appointment as Junior Assistant on the regular establishment in the pay scale of ₹ 25,000 – ₹ 55,800.

GSECL Junior Assistant Selection Process 2025

The selection process involves multiple stages:

  1. First Tier Examination (Online CBT):
    • A Computer Based Test (CBT) with 100 multiple-choice questions (100 marks).
    • Subjects include General Knowledge (10%), English Language (20%), Maths & General Science (15%), Analytic & Logical Reasoning (15%), Computer Knowledge (20%), and Gujarati Language (20%).
    • Negative marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer.
    • Minimum qualifying marks: 50 for Unreserved/EWS, 45 for Reserved categories.
  2. Second Tier Examination (Online CBT):
    • Candidates qualifying the first tier will be eligible for the second tier CBT (100 marks).
    • The question paper will be in English and Gujarati.
  3. Normalization: If exams are held in multiple sessions, scores will be normalized.
  4. Merit List: Based on normalized scores in the exam (Minimum 50 for UR/EWS, 45 for Reserved). Tie-breaking rules apply (DOB, then name alphabetically). Widow candidates get 5% grace marks.
  5. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must submit original documents for verification.
  6. Pre-employment Medical Examination: As per company standards.
