What is the Eligibility for SBI BMO-II 2026?

Educational Qualification
- Mandatory: MBBS from any recognised University/College approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council.

What is the Salary for SBI BMO-II 2026?
The Bank Medical Officer (BMO-II) is appointed in the Middle Management Grade Scale-II (MMGS-II), which is a senior officer scale with attractive pay and perks.

- Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA): 20% of Basic Pay

Selection is based on an Online Written Test, followed by an Interview and a Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT).
Step 1: Online Written Test
The online test was tentatively planned for August 2026 held on 23 August 2026. It had two parts:
- General Aptitude (Qualifying): Reasoning (15 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (15 marks), English Language (20 marks) — 45 minutes.
- Professional Knowledge: 50 questions, 100 marks — 45 minutes.
There is negative marking for wrong answers. Only the Professional Knowledge score counts towards merit; the General Aptitude part is qualifying in nature. Reviewing the exam syllabus and pattern early will help your preparation.
Step 2: Interview
Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview carrying 100 marks. The final merit list is prepared with a 70:30 weightage between the Written Test and the Interview.
