If you are a graduate looking for government jobs, the YP-I posts are your way in. Post graduates with an Entomology background should look at the SRF post, and diploma holders in Agriculture can also apply for YP-I, because the YP-I qualification is written as B.Sc (Agri.) or Diploma (Agri.). Please note that the SRF post asks specifically for a degree in Entomology, so an M.Sc or Ph.D in another agriculture subject does not match that post as written.

It does not list the relaxation for each category and does not state the date on which age is counted, so check this with the Cotton Research Station before you apply. The age limit has a floor too: you must be at least 21 years old, so a very young graduate should not assume that a degree alone is enough. The YP-I pay is a fixed amount. Only the SRF pay carries HRA in the notification. The notification does not list any other allowance. Remember that these are fixed contract amounts for a time-bound project, not a government pay scale. Compare the pay with your own situation before you apply: SRF at Rs 37,000 plus HRA is higher than YP-I at Rs 30,000, but it needs a post graduate degree in Entomology.
