RPSC Junior Chemist Recruitment 2025: Notification Out for 13 Posts
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Ajmer, has released an official notification (Advt. No. 02/2025-26) inviting online applications for the post of Junior Chemist in the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) of the Rajasthan Government. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- Must possess a Second Class M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from a university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification declared by the Government.
- Candidates appearing in the final year of their M.Sc. (Chemistry) are also eligible to apply, provided they submit proof of acquiring the qualification before the RPSC interview process begins.
- Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagari Script.
- Knowledge of Rajasthani Culture.
- Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026):
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Age Relaxation: Applicable for reserved categories of Rajasthan as per government rules:
- 5 years for Male candidates of SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS categories.
- 5 years for Female candidates of the General category.
- 10 years for Female candidates of SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS categories.
- No upper age limit for Widows and Divorcee women.
- Relaxation for Ex-servicemen, PwD candidates, etc., as per rules.

Salary & Benefits
Selected candidates for the Junior Chemist post will be placed in the Pay Matrix Level L-12. During the probation period, a fixed monthly remuneration will be paid as per Rajasthan Government rules. Other allowances and benefits will be applicable as per state government regulations after the probation period.
Selection Process
The selection process for RPSC Junior Chemist will consist of the following stages:
- Written Examination: An objective-type (MCQ) examination will be conducted, either offline or online. The detailed syllabus will be released separately on the RPSC website. RPSC may use scaling/moderation/normalization if required.
- Interview: Candidates qualifying the written exam will be called for an interview.
- Document Verification: Final selection will be based on merit prepared after the written test and interview, followed by document verification.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates must apply online through the RPSC’s official portal. Follow these steps:
- Visit the RPSC website: rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.
- Read the detailed advertisement and instructions carefully before applying.
- Click on the ‘Apply Online’ link or log in to the SSO Portal: sso.rajasthan.gov.in.
- Select the Recruitment Portal under Citizen Apps (G2C).
- Perform One Time Registration (OTR) if not already done, by providing basic details (Name, Father’s Name, DoB, Gender, Secondary Exam details, Aadhaar Card) and uploading required documents. Ensure all details in OTR match your documents, as modifications to core details are not possible later.
- If already registered, log in and apply using your OTR number.
- Fill out the application form carefully, providing all necessary details including educational qualifications and experience acquired up to the last date of application.
- Upload your latest live photograph, signature, and left thumb impression scan.
- Pay the applicable One Time Registration fee online.
- Submit the application form and take a printout of the final submitted application for future reference.
- Regularly check the RPSC website’s Exam Dashboard for updates.
Application Fees (One Time Registration)
As per the notification, a one-time registration fee is applicable:
- General (Unreserved) / Creamy Layer of OBC/MBC: ₹ 600/-
- Reserved Categories (SC/ST/Non-Creamy Layer OBC/MBC/EWS/Sahariya) of Rajasthan & Persons with Disabilities (PwD): ₹ 400/-
- Candidates from states other than Rajasthan will be treated as General category candidates and must pay ₹ 600/-.
(Note: Fee payment is part of the One Time Registration process. Candidates who have already paid the OTR fee for other RPSC exams might not need to pay again, but please verify on the portal).
