RVUNL Exam Pattern Stage Notice 2026: Schemes of Examination Released
Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (RVUN) has released three Scheme of Examination notices for the State Power Companies of Rajasthan, all dated 6 November 2026. They cover Junior Engineer-I, Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant / Commercial Assistant-II. The JE-I and Junior Accountant papers carry 140 questions and 200 marks in 120 minutes; the Junior Assistant notice gives the Pre-examination pattern.

The paper has two parts that are timed separately, 60 minutes each. Part A is in English. Part B is bilingual, except Hindi General and English General.

What Is the RVUNL Junior Assistant Pre-Examination Pattern 2026?
The competitive exam has two phases: Phase-I, a Computer Based Test (CBT), and Phase-II, a Type Writing Test. Phase-I has two stages, the Pre-examination and the Main-Examination. The Pre-examination is only for screening and short-listing, with no weightage in selection. The Main-Examination carries 40% weightage and the Type Writing Test 60% weightage in the final order of merit.

The Pre-examination is bilingual, except Hindi General and English General, and wrong answers do not lose marks in the Pre-examination.
How Does Negative Marking Work in the RVUNL Exam?
- All questions are multiple choice with five options, and only one is correct.
- JE-I and Junior Accountant: for every wrong answer, 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question is deducted.
- Part B of the JE-I and Junior Accountant papers is “omnibus”, without any section or sub-section.
- A candidate cannot attempt Part B while attempting Part A, and cannot attempt Part A while attempting Part B.
- For JE-I and Junior Accountant, the marks split “may be” as shown.
