APSC CCE Recruitment 2025: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has announced the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 for the recruitment of various services/posts. A total of 262 vacancies are available. The online application process has commenced, and the preliminary examination is scheduled tentatively for 1st June 2025. Interested and eligible candidates are encouraged to apply before the deadline.

The hiring organization is the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC). The APSC will conduct the Preliminary Examination of the Combined Competitive Examination, 2024, for screening candidates for the Main Examination. The recruitment is for various services/posts in Assam. There are a total of 262 vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria for APSC CCE Recruitment 2025

Candidates must be Indian citizens. 

Age Limit: 

  • The candidate should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2024. 
    • Age Relaxation:
      • By 5 years for SC/STP/STH candidates (up to 43 years). 
      • By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates (up to 41 years). 
      • For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) by 10 years. 
      • For Ex-servicemen, the maximum age is 50 years for the Un-reserved category, 53 years for OBC/MOBC, and 55 years for SC/ST. 
  • The age limit will be calculated based on the Matriculation /HSLC Admit Card/Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council.

Educational Qualification: 

  • The candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. 
  • The candidate should be able to speak Assamese or other official language or associate official languages of the State or any of the tribal languages of the State. 
  • The candidate should be registered in a District Employment Office of Assam. 
  • A candidate must be an original inhabitant of Assam. 
  • Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on the date of submission of their applications. 
  • Ex-Servicemen candidates must submit the Ex-Servicemen Identity Card and Discharge Book. 
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities should ascertain the post for which a particular category of disability is entitled for reservation. 
  • Candidates have to submit a declaration regarding “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A at the time of applying for the Preliminary Examination.

Selection Process

The Combined Competitive Examination will consist of two successive stages: 

  • Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) 
  • Main Examination (Written & Interview/Personality Test) 

Preliminary Examination:

  • The Preliminary Examination will consist of two papers of objective-type multiple-choice questions, each of two hours duration. 
    • Paper-I: General Studies I (200 Marks) 
    • Paper-II: General Studies II (200 Marks) – Qualifying in nature (33% minimum qualifying marks) 
  • There will be negative marking. One-fourth of the total mark assigned to a question will be deducted for a wrong answer. 

Main Examination:

  • The Main Examination will consist of a Written Examination and an Interview/Personality Test. 
  • The Written Examination will consist of six papers of conventional essay type/objective type with limited words. 
  • The Interview/Personality Test will carry marks, which will be counted for ranking. 

How to Apply

Candidates are required to apply for the Preliminary Examination online through the website https://apscrecruitment.in only. No other mode of submission of the application is valid. 

  • The online application can be submitted from 12:00 Noon, 28th March 2025, to 29th April 2025, until 5:00 PM. 
  • The last date for payment of the prescribed fee is 1st May 2025, until 5:00 PM. 
  • Detailed instructions for submitting the online application are available in Appendix I of the official notification.
