Eligibility Criteria for APSC JE (Civil) 2025
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Junior Engineer (Civil) post:
- Nationality & Residency:
- Must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
- Must be a permanent resident of Assam. Proof required: Valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purposes or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
- Educational Qualification:
- Must possess a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering / Construction Technology / Civil & Planning from a technical institute recognized by AICTE.
- The Diploma must be a Regular Full-time course. Diplomas obtained through Distance Mode are not accepted.
- Relevant mark sheets for all semesters/years and the final pass certificate must be uploaded.
- Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025):
- Minimum Age: 18 years.
- Maximum Age: 40 years.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years (up to 45 years).
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years (up to 43 years).
- Ex-Servicemen: Maximum 42 years (Unreserved), with further relaxation of 3 years for OBC/MOBC and 5 years for SC/ST.
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years irrespective of category.

Selection Process of JE Civil by Assam Public Service Commission
