HPCL Junior Executive Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates aspiring for the HPCL Junior Executive positions must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Junior Executive – Mechanical: 3-years full-time regular Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. 
    • Junior Executive – Electrical: 3-years full-time regular Diploma in Electrical Engineering. 
    • Junior Executive – Instrumentation: 3-years full-time regular Diploma in Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, or Instrumentation & Electronics Engineering. 
    • Junior Executive – Chemical: 3-years full-time regular Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Chemical Technology. 
    • Junior Executive – Fire & Safety: Any Science Graduate + Diploma in Fire & Safety. 
    • All qualifications should be full-time regular courses from AICTE approved/UGC recognized University/Deemed University/State board. 
    • Minimum Marks: Minimum 60% marks for UR/OBCNC/EWS and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates in qualifying diploma/degree. 
    • Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications like a degree in Engineering (BE, B.Tech, AMIE, or equivalent) are not eligible, unless they also meet the minimum diploma qualification criteria. 
    • Final year diploma students can also apply, subject to meeting eligibility criteria upon completion. 
  • Age Limit (as of April 30, 2025):
    • Maximum 25 years. 
    • Minimum 18 years.

HPCL Junior Executive Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates for the Junior Executive positions will be placed in the pay scale of Rs 30,000 – 1,20,000The approximate Cost to Company (CTC) at the minimum base level of this pay grade is Rs 10.58 Lakh

  • Emoluments Include: Base Pay, Retirement Benefits, Dearness Allowance, HRA, and Cafeteria Allowance. It also includes Performance Related Pay (variable). 
  • Other Benefits:

HPCL Junior Executive Selection Process 2025

The selection process for HPCL Junior Executive positions may include the following stages:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT):
    • All eligible candidates may be called for the CBT. 
    • The test will consist of objective questions in two parts: 
      • General Aptitude: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Intellectual Potential test (Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation). 
      • Technical / Professional Knowledge: Questions related to the qualifying degree/educational background for the applied position. 
  2. Group Task / Group Discussion: Candidates qualifying in the CBT (in order of merit & predetermined ratio) may be called for this stage. 
  3. Skill Test: Candidates qualifying in the Group Task/Group Discussion will be referred for a Skill Test. 
  4. Personal Interview: Candidates qualifying in the Group Task/Group Discussion will also be referred for a Personal Interview. 
  5. Pre-Employment Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical examination in HPCL nominated/empanelled hospitals. 
  6. Physical Fitness Efficiency Test: This will be qualifying in nature. 

Candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in each applicable stage to be considered for further selection. A category and discipline-wise merit list will be drawn for candidates who qualify in all applicable stages.
