Educational Qualification
- 10+2 pass from a recognized Educational Board
- Punjabi pass up to Matric standard
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Yoga from a recognized Institute or Body, or a minimum 5 years experience certificate from a Yoga Institute
- Medically fit, as per the medical certificate issued by the concerned Civil Surgeon
A selected instructor who is 10+2 pass but has no yoga certificate, diploma or degree will undergo training in the yoga curriculum in an institutional arrangement. No honorarium is paid during training. This post suits 12th pass candidates.

What is the Honorarium for Sangrur Yoga Instructor 2026?
This is not a salary or a pay scale. A fixed honorarium of ₹250 per session hour is paid, subject to a maximum of 32 hours per month for a Male Instructor. By our own calculation, 32 hours at ₹250 comes to ₹8,000 a month; this total is not printed in the notice.
- No honorarium is paid for a part session.
- To be eligible for honorarium, a session needs at least 10 participants.
- The Ayurvedic or Homeopathic Medical Officer of the concerned AYUSH HWC certifies your performance.
- The engagement shall not entitle the individual to any claim of regularization, fixed remuneration, allowances or leaves.
- The engagement is for a particular AYUSH HWC or the area under it, and no request for transfer to another HWC or health facility will be entertained.
Monthly Duties of a Male Yoga Instructor

Apart from these, a minimum of 2 hours of IEC programme on AYUSH, particularly yoga, has to be conducted in the community every month, as decided by the Ayurvedic or Homeopathic Medical Officer.
When Can the Instructor Be Removed?
The District Ayurvedic and Unani Officer, on the report of the AMO or HMO, shall remove the Yoga Instructor if:
- no session is conducted for 3 consecutive working days, for any reason;
- participants per session are fewer than 10 for 3 consecutive days; or
- there are grounds of indiscipline, insubordination and the like.
What is the Selection Process for Sangrur Yoga Instructor 2026?
The engagement is purely on merit, decided by a Committee after an interview, as per the selection criteria below. The notice does not mention a written exam. Original documents are to be produced at the interview.
