For Sports Officer, coaching experience certificates, whether from U.P. district/regional sports offices or other institutions, are countersigned by the Joint Director Sports, Lucknow. Preference (other things equal) goes to those with Territorial Army service of 2 years or an NCC ‘B’ certificate (Sports Officer and Programmer Grade-2), plus 1-year sports-organising experience and Physical Education diploma/certificate for Sports Officer. What is the Selection Process for UPPSC 2026?
UPPSC will hold a separate examination for each post at centres in Uttar Pradesh. Selection is on the marks obtained in the examination. The notification also mentions document verification (when asked) and a medical examination for selected candidates. The date and venue will be sent later through e-Admit Cards. Wrong answers carry a penalty of one-third of the marks of that question, and multiple answers count as wrong. Blank answers carry no penalty.

This is a two-step process: first register on the OTR portal, then apply on the UPPSC website. Get your OTR number at least 72 hours before you submit the application.

Do not send hard copies at this stage. Send them with self-attested marksheets and certificates only when the commission asks. A qualification-related change is allowed only once until 11 December 2026 through Candidate Dashboard Login. Details such as category, domicile, gender and date of birth claimed by the last date are final. Late applications are never accepted, and forms without the required photograph and signature may be summarily rejected. Admission is provisional, so a candidate found ineligible at any stage is out.

Concealing or misrepresenting information means rejection and debarment from future exams, unproven wrong information can mean being debarred for up to five years, and forged documents mean permanent debarment.
